Speaker:

Steve Chong

Since February 2008, Steve has been the Pastor of Kogarah Presbyterian Church in Sydney's south - an exciting area with many opportunities to spread of the gospel of our Lord Jesus. And if starting up a new church venture wasn't crazy enough, that same month, Steve and his wife Naomi welcomed the birth of Baby Chong, aka Reuben - a beautiful baby boy and have now been joined by little Jacob!  Together, the Chongs share a heart and passion for evangelism, making known God's desire in seeking a relationship with His creation.

Steve is the director of the RICE Movement and is the person who thinks big and dreams of what RICE can do in the future to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the youth of Sydney and beyond. He loves his Thai food (but not as much as his wife's home-cooking) and days where he can just hang out and spend time with his wife and sons. With an open and outgoing personality he has been known to have total strangers approach him and start conversations with him on the streets, in cafes and on aeroplanes!  He believes God is doing a special thing through the ministry of RICE and he can't wait to see what God has in store in the years to come!
